Gift List #1: Gifts for Moms
20 gifts for your mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, or any mother figure in your life
I’m excited to introduce a new series, Gift Lists! My goal with The Weekly has been, and will always be, to deliver value and inspiration efficiently (because who has the time?!). I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to take The Weekly and ways I can continue to offer value to my readers - gift lists are something I love when done well, and creating them for you felt like the perfect next step!
Now I know how overwhelming and repetitive gift guides can feel, especially during the holiday season. But there are a few creators whose gift lists I find such value in and that I go back to again and again (Cup of Jo and Danielle Moss, to name a few) - whether it's a birthday, Christmas, or any significant milestone, I’m always searching their blogs for gift ideas and inspiration. With this new series, I hope to offer you the same! You’ll notice that I’ve made it a point to offer a diverse selection of gift ideas, catering to various interests and budgets, and many of these gifts are ones that I’ve gifted or tried myself.
As always, please share your feedback! If you find these gift lists helpful, I’d love to continue creating them for all types of recipients (think dads, best friends, babies, and the most challenging of all, co-workers!). I also hope to update them regularly (once or twice a year) to keep things fresh.
Now let’s get to the gifts for moms!
I received Martha Stewart’s Organizing ($30) for Christmas this year, and my mom immediately wanted a copy for herself.
A light-up travel mirror ($20) for the mom on the go. Also, consider keeping one in your guest room for her when she visits!
Keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay with a silk pillowcase (from $89).
For the mom who belongs to several book clubs, a cute Kindle case ($40).
Everyone loves a puzzle, and this one ($30) is pretty enough that she can frame it once it’s done.
A beautiful watering can ($128).
A live lemon tree (from $63) to plant in the yard or to keep in the house (she may also like orange, lime, or kumquat).
A nice hand lotion ($28) she probably wouldn’t buy herself (pair it with Aveda’s signature tea for the ultimate comfort gift).
For the mom who hosts all the family parties, The Cheese Board Deck ($20) includes 50 cards for styling party platters of all kinds.
My mom can’t live without her electric tea kettle ($100).
A custom home portrait (from $95).
If your mom is a grandma, she’ll cherish a handprint keepsake (from $65) from your little one.
A good hair towel ($50) is a little luxury she will always appreciate.
A chic train case ($125) customized with her initials.
These edible flower cookies ($49) are almost too pretty to eat.
How fun is this baking-themed murder mystery game (from $26)?
This holiday card album (from $84) would be so sweet sitting out on a coffee table during the holidays.
A handful of hearts ($68) to put in a small bowl in the entryway or on a nightstand.
If she’s celebrating a big milestone, a custom hand-painted bottle of champagne ($160) would be so special.
A trip just for the two of you!

This is a great list! I’m tempted to send it to my husband and tell him to get me anything on it.
